Rain
About
It was summertime and we were on the beach at Thornwick Bay in Yorkshire on a beautiful sunny day. This print is about the arrival of the rain cloud. I could see the rain coming, I enjoyed watching those deep grey-blue colours, marvelled at the power of the elements and the unpredictability of the weather, took a photo and then built a makeshift shelter using the windbreaks and blankets for us to hide under as the cloud passed over. Back in the studio I worked on capturing that moment in a print.
